When the Internet first became popular, it seemed like there was a never ending supply of Web builders and free Web hosts. Although there are a lot of helpful programs out there today, a lot of people find that Web design is much more difficult for beginners than it used to be. Even those who have been making websites for years now find creating websites in today’s world to be more difficult than ever before. There are a few reasons why Web design is a lot more complicated than it used to be. First of all, there is a lot more competition out there, so it is important for Web design to be created in a way that it will make a website stand out. It is also important for designers to use new technology when creating websites so that people do not think that they are behind the times. There are also countless different things that can be done to websites, which can be overwhelming, and it also means that even very talented and experienced Web designers often still have a lot to learn.

Another reason why Web design is complicated is because there are a lot of different computers, devices and more that sites have to optimized for, which can be tricky.

Many site administrators are in it to win it – they love being the point person for all things on their site, from copy to colors to images to coding. They want a hand in everything that goes on the page, and often, they are the ones putting it there on CLEARwirelessinternet.com.

Sometimes, though, a site administrator admittedly isn’t a savvy writer. Or doesn’t understand design basics. Maybe they don’t know html very well.

There are talented options out there, but a great portfolio doesn’t guarantee stellar client-designer collaboration. Here are some tips for getting the most out of the experience:

1. Have copy! Many Web designers are awesome at their craft, but aren’t prolific writers. Have some building blocks ready for your designer to work with. The type and density of copy will likely influence their approach to design, too.

2. Have a talk! Even if it’s via Skype or phone, talking through the project is an absolute must. This will give the designer an opportunity to ask for details in your specifications. If philosophical questions arise, this is the stage in which to address them.

3. Have a plan! This includes price and timeline. Know what you would like your site to look like – or not look like – so that when the final product is presented, you have something to which you can compare it.

Good luck!

For starters, I would like to apologize for my absence in recent months. I have been traveling the country, going through a move, and even had to deal with some health problems. In other words, it has been hectic.

Anyway, I am back now, and better than ever.

So, if you are reading this site you clearly have a desire to learn Web design. However, what if you need to build a simple, functional site in a short period of time? Can it be done?

Well, if you want to build an attractive, fancy site; probably not. Fortunately, if you are concerned more about functionality and content, WordPress can be a really good quick fix.

Most people immediately associate WordPress with blogging, and that is certainly where it came from. Nowadays though, WordPress makes it easy to purchase the actual domain for your blog, turning it into a fully functional Web site.

With thousands (if not more) of free plugins that can add additional features to your basic blog, you can quickly and efficiently develop a strong Web presence. Sure, it will be somewhat limited when compared with all of the capabilities of a Web site built through professional coding, but it will still accomplish many objectives.

I hope you all continue with your passion for Web design and coding, as that is an awesome discipline to become versed in. However, just remember that if you or your friends want to transform a simple blog into a real Web site, WordPress makes it easy.

If a business person is concerned about stagnant traffic coming to their website, then they should take a look at the design of their site. Only the best and most professional looking websites become popular and this means that the text, graphics, colors and layouts for each page must looking eye catching.

With the increase of internet use and the widespread popularity of laptops and web use there is also an increased need for web designers. Anyone who is considering the role of a web designer may be wondering what it takes to be a web designer. Like most jobs, it takes a lot of studying and effort to learn how to do this before the job can be taken on. Web design is also constantly evolving so anyone who decides to work in this role must be committed to keeping up with the fast pace of the internet and it’s evolution.

Web design of course involves an eye for aesthetics and an artistic point of view. This is essential for the design aspect of web design but there is a lot more that is involved behind creating these designs. Not all artists will feel comfortable in this role however because it also involves having the mind for detail and the ability to memorize these details. Web design involves html coding and this can be like learning another language. Those adept at picking up new languages would likely enjoy the html coding that is essential for understanding and creating new web designs.

There is a big difference between designing a website yourself and hiring a professional to do it for you. Profession webs designers have seen the best and worst the Internet has to offer so they know what works in terms of creating a successful design. While animated graphics look cute and often capture people’s attention, they do very little to lend credibility to a site. A business website is supposed to be a virtual representation of the company. You probably wouldn’t use the services of a doctor or dentist who used cartoon letters and humorous animations to promote their site.

A good web design not only includes the first or home page, it also includes all of the successive pages on the site. People want websites that are easy to navigate and understand. While graphics certainly play a big role in advertising they have their proper place within the design. Modern websites also incorporate easy to use applications and links to social networking sites. The best web designs are those that stay one step ahead of what everyone else is doing. A professional web designer is familiar with the tools and cutting edge technology required to create memorable and successful websites.

Most people think that they can design a website with ease. They use templates and slap some text and graphics on the page. Website owners automatically assume that they will get thousands of customers merely because they have put up a website, but this is not the case. Consumers and shoppers look at webpages very carefully and they will not use a business that looks shoddy and unprofessional based on the look of the website.

Websites can looking stunning and business absolutely can be boosted with a website, but a professional designer must be the one that creates the site. Professional graphic artists and web designers spend years in school perfecting their design skills, and learning about design theories and concepts. All of this information is used to design websites, and this is why a professionally made site looks and performs perfectly almost every time.

Professional website designers will take business types into considerations and they will listen to their clients wants and desires, too. They will design the basics of the website and make sure that all pages are themed properly. Once the basics are completed the designers shows the work to the client, and the graphics, text, and vital information are added.

Designing a website is easier than you think. If you can write simple sentences describing your product or company services, you can design a website. Websites are designed to bring the consumer to you, the business.

Content

Content is perhaps the most important element in website design. Your website should tell the consumer about your product or service and describe in full detail what you can offer them.

Clean Lines

Clean lines lead the consumer to the information at hand without distraction. Keep it simple and make it easy on you the designer, and on your visitors. Organize information in an easy to find format and keep your site user friendly.

Color

Keep your color scheme to a minimum. The fewer colors on your website the easier it is for users to get to the information they desire. Most websites utilize either 3 or 5 different colors repeating this scheme throughout the website.

Contact

Contact information should be clear and easy to locate on all website pages. Either a tab at the top of the page or bottom is quite common although some designers keep their tabs in a right or left hand column. Either way is fine.

Design your website with your visitors in mind and your website will be a true success.
